Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. I just love the Valentine colors, hearts, love, etc. and thought it would be fun to make an altered décor piece on the blog today. This would look fabulous on a bookshelf or mantel. These look beautiful and are very easy to create. You can even make this into a children’s craft.
Supplies:
Instructions:
1. First you’ll cover the letters in paper by Mod Podging on your favorite “Devoted” collection patterned papers. Trim around edges of the letters with a craft knife. Lightly ink edges in light grey.
2. For the letter “X,” I cut out some tags from the “Adored Tickets” paper. Adhere them with the edges of the tickets slightly bent up for dimension. Adhere cupid sticker, sentiment stickers, and numbers to create “2-14.” Adhere heart stickers with foam squares. Finish embellishing with sateen ribbon and a button.
2. The letter “O has beautiful organza roses ribbon adhered in the center. I just love the look of this! So soft and pretty. Create two rolled roses (I used a die by Sizzix) and adhere. Embellish with a heart banner, the “I Love You,” and “hugs & kisses” stickers. Add a button and twine.
That’s it! I hope you’ve been inspired. It’s always a lot of fun to create your own décor that’s one of a kind. Enjoy!

This is such a cute project! I think I will have to scrap lift it if you don’t mind. I don’t have very much in the way of Valentine’s decor, so trying to find some cut things to make.
