I saw the shape of the large angled pieces on the products and duplicated it a few several times. They are very dramatic and bold, and using just the greys and blues added some softness to the bold design. I added just a touch of the soft blush with the butterfly cut outs and the title. I embossed the butterfly cutouts to add more texture and softness to the layout. After I had the design, I rolled a background stamp onto the background for texture, as well as, a circle stamp. I added a few drops of white mist and element stickers. To soften the design even more, I border punched blue paper to tuck under some of the large angled pieces. I had another photo picked out for this, but then I remembered this photo. The photo of my daughter coming out of the playhouse in a burst of excitement went really well with the bold design of this layout.

Look for papers within each of the Carta Bella Paper collections that would easily work on any layout. Often the “b side” or back side of the patterned paper will have a smaller scale pattern that will work for your project. Stretch your supplies by using themed products on a non-themed layout.

gorgeous as always and I am a huge fan of using “theme” stuff in a non theme way (if that makes sense)
I am just not a Valentine person. So I never really looked at this collection-oh those “B” side papers. Now I want it!
